Perranwell went out of the Senior cup with heads held high after running there Peninsula Premier league opponents to the wire.
Paul madden gave the home side the lead in the 27th minute with a close range finish on 27 minutes before Lee Doel scored a debut goal just before the break heading home from a corner. Marc Thorne seemed to have put the tie to rest when he drilled his shot under the diving Easterbrook to make it 3-0 in the 54th minute. But this stung the visitors into action and led by the inspirational skipper Mike Brewer whose deflected free kick reduced the arrears, and then after a mazy run was pulled down in the box for Scott Kinge to score from the penalty spot. Perran surged forward in the search for the equaliser with Harvey, Brewer and Tj Wilson going close before a breakaway in injury time saw Coulton unmarked at the far post to settle the tie.
"I thought we did the Combination league proud" said Manager Dave Fisher, "We knew we could have performed better but full credit to Saltash because they made it difficult for us I thought we were bullied out of it at times and with our forwards not on song we were always going to be up against it. Saltash are a good side and deserved to win"
