Perranwell Football Club 2

Another Tuesday night draw but one which we could have ended up losing.
We were out of the starting blocks and within 50 seconds Adam Selley should have done better when well placed and that proved to be the story of the first half, total domination but no end product. Blundell, Selley, Kinge and Brabyn all went close before Ieuan Boon scored from inside the box 10 minutes before half time.

The 2nd half we didn't come out and it was no surprise when the unmarked Tom Benney equalised for the home side who then went on to dominate the game. First Phil Willey had a shot tipped over the bar By John Mitchell who then kept another Benney shot out before turning James Thomas's cross come shot over the bar. out of the blue Selley crossed the ball and Nigel Brabyn headed Perran back in front with only 15 minutes to go. Back came Aggie and from a needless free kick Steve Kemp rose highest in the box to equalise. Mitchell then kept out Dan O'Tooles long range effort before the save of the match two defenders missed the ball and Benney's volley looked destinend for the top corner but Mitchell pulled out a world class save. With 5 minutes left Kinge's shot was brilliantly saved by Paul Luke in the home goal before with the last kick off the game O'Toole found himself unmarked 8 yards from goal but his shot was brilliantly saved by the diving Mitchell.

John Mitchell, Matt Rose, Matt Sanders, Steve Allen, Shane Selley, Nigel Brabyn, Scott Kinge, Ieuan Boon, Luke Brabyn, Adam Selley, Jonathan Blundell

Subs: Hugh Gibbon, Gavin Hoon, TJ Wilson
