PERRANWELL now trail leaders Perranporth by only four points and also have a game in hand on the north coast side after Saturday's victory at Penlee Park.
Nigel Brabyn's header from a Mike Brewer corner was parried by home keeper Craig Nicholls, but Jake Harvey was on hand to knock in the loose ball from close range.
Ross Badcock shot narrowly wide for the home side, but the visitors created a host of chances at the other end, John Blundell volleying narrowly wide and Matt Rose and Scott Kinge missing good close range chances.
Harvey, who was a constant threat to the home defence, brought a fine save from Nicholls early in the second half before Perranwell doubled their lead on 68 minutes when Kinge headed home a Blundell free kick at the back post.
Two minutes later TJ Wilson made the game safe for the visitors, embarking on a trademark run into the Penzance area before finishing with a scorching volley that gave Nicholls no chance.
