BUT for some fine saves by Ludgvan keeper Tim Ellis, the struggling Hurlers could have suffered an even heavier defeat against a Perranwell side who have now won their opening six matches.
The home side eased into a 3-0 lead by half time with Jon Blundell putting them ahead after just five minutes after good interplay with Steve Brewer.
Ieuan Boon made it 2-0 from a Casey Adams corner with Blundell scoring his second just before the break.
In the second half Perranwell ran riot with Blundell and Boon both completing their hat-tricks and further goals came from Steve Brewer, TJ Wilson and Adam Selley as Ludgvan were left still searching for their first point of the season
